The name “Alì Alè” is taken from the two grapes this wine is made with: Alicante and Aleatico. Alicante is a Spanish grape imported in our area in 16th century, Aleatico is a local grape. Ezio Mantellassi implanted them both in 1960 when he acquired the farm. Aleardo Mantellassi decided to make a Passito with these varietals. The result is a very unique and high quality wine, much appreciated for its sweet, intense fruity flavour.
